The 10 Things Challenge

I have been musing over these past couple of weeks about what I have learned and continue to learn after writing, developing and launching The 10 Things Challenge some 8 years ago. The 10 Things Challenge is an accessible process for self development. If that is enough to sell it to you and you want to sign up, great!

Pop over here and you can do so right now. If not, read on…

I see that progress is not linear, that we learn, fall over, get up, learn some more in a series of cycles that are often wonky and circuitous. I also see that I am not who I was 8 years ago, and neither is MB. I wrote the tool to help him have a framework to rediscover who he is and rebuild his self-confidence and self-esteem after a period of depression.

I am incredibly grateful to him, and to the friends who trialled early versions of The 10 Things Challenge. Equally, I am indebted to clients who have used the tool, and for their feedback.

The 10 Things ChallengeOver these past years, as I have made progress in a non-linear fashion as a coach, I have had the privilege of going through the 10 Things Challenge wiht lots of clients.

I have evolved with is, and I definitely know this 8 years on:

The 10 Things Challenge works.

I know that is a bold statement, given that I developed and wrote the tool. But this is also what I know, from Allison, a client who recently completed the Challenge:

The 10 Things Challenge was an eye-opening and life-changing journey for me, and I’m so glad I decided to do it. I enjoyed the process of taking a few minutes for reflection each day, and by the end of the 30 days I had a fresh vision for my life and clarity on where I am now and where I want to go. The best part of the journey was the coaching session with Catriona that helped me to connect the dots, discern my next steps, and address some of the roadblocks that have been getting in my way. Catriona is a gifted coach who is a delight to work with. She knows the art of asking powerful questions and coming alongside others in a way that is practical and encouraging. I would highly recommend it to others…I think everyone would benefit from going through the Challenges!”

Do any of these apply to you:

  • not sure about what you want your future to look like?
  • struggling with low self-esteem and self-belief?
  • feeling overwhelmed and unsure of how to take committed action?
  • busy with no time for formal coaching sessions but wanting to invest in yourself?
  • stuck in self doubt or inertia?
  • in a season of transition but possibly losing who you are?

If so, The 10 Things Challenge is for you. It is an accessible process for self-development. The Challenge gives you a simple, step by step framework to see underlying themes and patterns in your life, create a future that you want to work towards, and be empowered to take action in that direction.

Other feedback from those who have completed the Challenge:

…consolidating and affirming, very positive process and fun!

…narrows the gap between what I say I want and actually achieving it and makes seeing who I want to be achievable

…I have seen the positives of myself and learned to love myself more, am much more accepting of myself

…important to do something for myself.

An accessible process for self development.

The 10 Things Challenge is an accessible process for self-development because it builds over time in small increments that add up to much more than the sum of its parts.

It is NOT a quick fix.

When it comes to self-development and building self-awareness and a proactive approach to our lives, I don’t believe there is any such thing as a quick fix. Self development is a process that we learn that includes building new skills.

You don’t get marathon fit in 3 easy steps taken over the course of a few days. Nor do you learn a new language or any new skill overnight.

But here is the thing:

You are worth investing in.

No, I am not sponsored by a certain shampoo company, although I quote their well-known slogan often enough. But I have been working for 10 years with wonderful, unique and precious individuals – just as you are – who have lost themselves and lost their way. Folk who, like many of us, live without seeing their own worth and with a big disconnect between who they believe themselves to be on the inside and who they portray on the outside.

This is EXHAUSTING!

And it robs the world of the people that we – you – really are.

If this resonates with you and this is the time to do something about your own growth, confidence and self-development, then pop over to The 10 Things Challenge page and sign up. I look forward very much to meeting you at the end!
